Non-abusing mothers’ formal support needs after child sexual abuse disclosure: the case of North Cyprus

This article investigates the formal support needs of mothers whose child has been sexually abused. Previous research focused mostly on provision for abused children to relative neglect mothers’ needs. Here, refers resources and services from organisations, professionals authorities, with a specific focus social welfare services. is based thematic analysis semi-structured, in-depth interviews 15 non-abusing in North Cyprus. Analysis experiences revealed four important domains: financial support; day-care facilities adults; therapeutic services; improved public knowledge about trust Mothers often lacked their most common encounter system concerned assistance. The results showed that Cyprus highly bureaucratic, children's long-term are usually unmet, ignored by professionals. In sum, developing quality vital family members, especially mothers.
